Wedding Tips For The Perfect Small
Wedding
Just because the wedding is small,
doesn't mean the wedding has to be
plain and dull. Many people
decided these days to pull off a
small wedding all while keeping it
special. Here are some ideas
we hope will help get you on the
decor track.
1) Beach Weddings - this
wedding can be done elegant and fun.
Be sure to register for a spot for
your special day before going
through with your vows. For
your wedding, I would suggest a gown
that isn't formal, but is flowing
and white. This gown must be
light and able to flow in the breeze
without flowing over your head.
Flip flops are good, but I would
suggest bare feet with a floral
ankle bracelet to enhance your
outfit. The groom can be in a
nice shirt that matches the brides
colors, preferably short sleeve but
dressy, black or white dress pants
with possible rolling up at the
bottom, groom also in bare feet and
possible lei around the neck.
Next I would get some sort of
moveable arch to stand under that
you can decorate with matching
flowers for your bouquet and
possible lei for the groom.
Brides maids will also be in
matching summer dresses in floral
colors. Groomsmen in floral
colors and leis (or) flower in shirt
pocket to match theme.
Beach type chairs (please not fold
up as they will sink) available for
your guests. Tie bows on the
inside edge for isle walking.
Face your bride and groom toward the
beach and the wedding is yours.
For favors I would suggest items
that don't melt for this occasion.
We have several beach and/or flip
flop themes throughout our custom
non-chocolate favors.
2) Small Church Wedding -
just like with large weddings, a
small church wedding can be
glamorous. Instead of bows
down the whole pew area, just place
two at the front two toward the
bride and groom. Order two
floral arrangements for the sides of
the alter.
For the dress attire, a delightful
white dress would be great with the
groom in short sleeve dress shirt
and slacks. Full white dress
and groom in suit will also work
just fine. You can find
matching summer dresses for the
brides maids. Sometimes to
save money, bouquets can be
purchased after the dresses in case
you find a floral dress pattern you
like. Then you can match the
flowers later.
Have only the maid of honor holding
a bouquet to show she is the
important member of the assisting
party. You will only need one
flower for the groom. Ring
Bearer and Flower Girls are not
needed, nor is walking down the
isle, unless you would like too.
Receptions at a relatives home or
small favorite restaurant. For
favors we would suggest anything
that matches a theme you are working
toward.
